NEW FEATURE: Use an @ symbol to link to a user page in questions and answers

This is an amazing feature... Now you can simply type @jasoncalacanis or
@easyeboy or @darcy_logan to link to those member pages.

So, if you ask a question you can just say something like: "I was
reading the responses from @andy and @ssmacd and thought they had a good point when referencing the question by @darcy_logan."
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

So in this case @jasoncalacanis must have gotten his examples from Top Members. Which also gave a great example. Notice that darcy logan is two words and if you put the @darcy logan in it does the wrong thing; however, you can put in an underscore for the space. And it does the right thing @darcy_logan. But for some reason doesn't seem to be working for me. :P

Man, everyone is talking AT me!! Why doesn't someone talk TO me?

If you put something at the end of a link, it will think it is part of the link and not work because it stops being a link. (Made sense in my head). It does this with websites too. I learned this when I tried to put them in parenthesis--have to put a space at the end or the link doesn't work.

Pazaq, I think its the period at the end of @darcy_logan when you typed it.

Jason, will it someday notify the member that they've been mentioned like a twitter reply? Sometimes when I comment on a comment I wonder if the person ever knows that I've replied.

I asked this related question yesterday. I'd love to give you a dollar... ;)
