Need some group party game ideas for a coming birthday event.

The group is about 20 people, we're indoors without much space. We've got time to spare before the actual cake cutting. Ice breaking games too I guess.

The average age is 25, children games are fine too.

Birthday boy is 27 years old tho. No drinking for this event.
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Here are a few ideas!

1. Pictionary: This is a great party game because it doesn't require a lot of prep. Just use a dry eraser board and a few markers. It's always fun, and you could include clues that relate to the birthday boy.

2. 2 Truths and 1 Lie: This is a fun ice breaker. Everyone sits around, and takes turns telling the group 2 true facts about themselves. However, they must also throw in a lie. It's up to the other guests to determine the which is the lie!

3. Truth or Lie: This is very similar to the game above. Only in this game, each guest tells one fact about themselves and it's up to the group to determine if it's the truth or not.

4. Pin the ___ on the birthday boy! You could fill in the blank with whatever you wish (party hat? tie? anything!). Get a photo of him blown up to a reasonable size for the game, and use a print out of the object that guests must try to pin on him blindfolded. Childish, but so funny!

5. Celebrity Charades: Prepare by writing the names of celebrities on small strips of paper and fold them in half. Then, have guests draw a piece of paper to choose which celebrity they have to act out. This is usually very funny.

Hope that helps! :)

I was thinking along the same wave length. Fun indoor stuff that gets people interacting.
If there's a good stereo system with a satellite feature , you can always play a music trivia game with the guests too.

Well I always have party for my grandkids and the adults have as much fun as the kids. Here are some games we play indoors. The Limbo, Twister and see who can blow the biggest bubble with bubble gum. These are a few that will get everyone laughing and having a fun time. Good luck.

A great party game is calle Left, Right, Center. This game can be played for money, but it's not necessary. I always play with each player starting with $3.00. Here is a quick idea of how to play LCR I got from http://www.toycrossing.com/lcr/

LCR, short for "Left, Center, Right", is a very simple game. Yet it has acquired many fans from all over the world. It is played with three dice and a handful of chips, but it can provide excitement equivalent to a horse race at any gathering without the necessity of going to the track or of cleaning up after the horses. Yet the fact is in L-C-R there is little strategy involved. Once a player sits in on a game, the outcome is left entirely to the three dice.

Though LCR is often played as a gambling game, it is also an excellent game for young children. This seems incongruous, but played with chips, children are continuously confronted with the imperative to pass one or more chips to either the right or to the left. They learn the distinction quickly playing this fast paced game.
