Need help in finding / getting into a trial of cloned antibodies, especially at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

Last year a 52 year old man with advanced skin cancer that had spread to the lungs and lymph nodes was given an experimental treatment that involved making billions of clones of some of his own CD4+ T cells and injecting them into his bloodstream. His cancer is now in remission (i.e. his tumors have gone away).

My sister has pleomorphic adenocarcinoma of the parotid gland that has spread to the brain. (It also spread to the lungs but those tumor were removed and there is no sign of any lung tumors now.) Does this treatment hold promise for her? Is there a way to get into such a trial, very soon?

Thank you!

(The experiment was done by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/746074 )

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You can search for Clinical Trials currently going on in the US and abroad here http://clinicaltrials.gov/

I found several adenocarcinoma trials that you can check them out and see if they suit your sister.

Good luck!

Well, what your gonna wanna do is visit www.clonedantibodiestrial.com. There you will find a trial list of vaious times and locations near you. Trials are expensive so in more rural areas you are to find less trials than in more urbanized bigger cities. Enjoy. Cancer is over-rated and the cure is simply a drastic change in our way of life and diet.
