Need help erasing windows file access history under file properties!!

Being an avid photographer, my GF wanted to surprise me with photos and artwork she was working on that was in an open folder on her computer. I was trying to fix her computer before she had chance to close her project, so I got a view of all the jpgs etc. I closed the folder, but all the files say they were accessed this morning! She's not stupid so I'd like to know if there's a way to erase the Created/Viewed/Accessed history Time stamp or manipulate it somehow. Thanks!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Well, there is the touch command in linux/unix, which can let you do this, but for windows you will have to use some pretty serious mojo. here is the msdn article on the phenomenon....

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms724290(VS.85).aspx

and an article with the actual code...

But alas, I think that from the article it seems you are in a pickle, because the access time changes again once you close the file....

Hmmmmm, this is interesting.

First, do you really think that she will check this data. If I were her, I would never think to check the file's access history.

If you really think that she will check it, then you could try using System Restore, but I don't think that it affects documents, so it will probably do more harm than good.

Your best option is probably to come clean and tell the truth.
