Need a windows media player 10 substitute?

I just installed Windows 7 and I hate the media player they include. Since I can't install WMP 10 since it's XP only, I was wondering if anyone knew of any substitutes for it, since uninstalling WMP 12 is very difficult to do on W7.
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I'd suggest you try Smplayer, the great open source, cross platform media player. You can download it here. http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/downloads.php?tr_lang=en Smplayer is the name of the GUI version of mplayer. If you don't need a GUI you can also use mplayer which is included as part of the download.

I use mplayer almost everyday.

Interesting...I'm looking for something that has a similar categorization for music though so can this hold a library of shortcuts? I'm looking for a similar layout like WMP10.

Yeah I use VLC player for video but I used media player 10 for music since it had a better organization.
