I think it may have a chance but...There's no Mark Harmon.....No Gibbs... so..... I don't know. It has a lot to live up to. I think people will watch it initially when it comes out, out of curiosity. If it is not good enough and cannot live up to the original or stand on it's own we will soon know.
It is like all the Law and Order spin-offs. Some still like the original best but all of them have been able to stand on their own with their own fan base.
I love the original NCIS but will definitely take a look at the new series.
