Moody Spring - Oconee County, SC
Moody Spring is included in a state wide Spring survey compiled by the South Carolina Dept. of Natural Resources. It's output was measured at about 1.5 gallons per minute in April of 1996. Travel along Hwy 107 and go across this spring along the road. Local Legend has it that there is a "ghost rider" that gets picked up along the highway and asks to be let out here. The kids will have a great time taking drinks of the cold water and just funning around.

El Polin Springs - San Francisco, CA
El Polin Springs is a short walk from the Julius Kahn Playground or Inspiration Point in San Francisco's Presidio.
Text from a sign near the springs reads:
"El Polin is the only named spring at the Presidio. Historically, it was an important fresh water source for Ohlone, Spanish and Mexican occupants making this area an attractive location for settlement. Mammoth Springs - Arkansas
Mammoth Spring State Park is situated in the rockand-
forest-covered Ozark Mountains of north central
Arkansas. It bears the name of the world-famous
natural spring which originates within the park’s
boundaries. Mammoth Spring flows at an average rate
of 9.78 million gallons per hour with a constant water
temperature of 58° Fahrenheit.
Actually, the main source for the spring’s water
comes from rainfall over the high plains of southern
Missouri. The water seeps into the underground water
table and flows along a vast system of interconnected
cavities. Eventually, it converges into a main channel
and emerges as Mammoth Spring.
