My wife works for Kaiser in California & has been with KP for 20 years. We are both insured by KP. Can we retire in FL & still be covered?

We owned a vacation home in Wellington and we would like to retire there, but we do not want to leave Kaiser. Do we have any options?

Thanks,
Bob

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This is a tricky question.
Kaiser offers lifetime health care for employees who have 30 years of employment with Kaiser, but Kaiser does not have any facility's in Florida. So, I don't think you would be able to continue to receive primary care under Kaisers health plan. Only emergency's are covered at non-Kaiser facility's under Kaiser plans.
I think your best bet would be to have your wife contact human resources or a benefits administrator.
