My son has language processing delays. His OT suggested that we try a therapy called Therapeutic Listening. Is there any evidence it works?

This is an alternative therapy, and I've heard anecdotal evidence that it works. Is there any scientific evidence to back it up? Are there things I should know before starting him on it? It requires buying special headphones, CDs, etc. and having him listen to it for 30 minutes every day.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This website says its an evidence-backed protocol. I'm not sure how it works but I say its worth a try if your insurance will cover it.
