My kid wants to drink only chocolate milk or apple juice, any thoughts on which one is better for her?

Overall, variety is the best nutrition of all - both milk and juices have benefits. In general, though, these are both sweet drinks and this could be an early sign of sugar addiction. Connected to obesity and diabetes, too much sugar (or worse, artificial sweeteners) is not good. Work on having a variety of drinks and foods with low sugar content, and make sweet drinks a reward not a regularity. Taste addiction to sugar, salt, and fat is a big part of the nation's obesity problems, but it can be broken!

Have you thought about mixing chocolate milk with 1/2 or 3/4 white milk? She would likely never catch it. Same thing goes for adding water to juice. Makes it a LITTLE better, but should slip by unnoticed.

there are 18 essential nutrients compared to regular milk. very filling, and great for strengthening up the body and teeth. apple juice even the pure apple juice still has approx 18 cubes of sugar in 8oz. chocolate milk is definitely the best best, but apple juice is still ok to give. but on a regular basis milk should come before juice. but make sure your child rinses his/her mouth after the milk/juice, and brushes teeth well at least 2-3 times daily, as either will cause decay of the teeth.

I am not a doctor or a nutritionist, but I would imagine that the chocolate milk would be better because your kid needs calcium in their diet. You may want to talk to a nutritionist about this. It would probably be best if your kid would drink the milk without the chocolate, but sometimes it's hard to get children to drink regular milk.
