Yeh, th links below confirm you got to do some tinkering if that's what you need to do. If it's not even being detected by the USB on the other system I'd try bypassing the hub and plug right into the system... if that doesn't work disconnect all USB peripherals except for maybe the mouse and then give it a try. (USB devices sometimes conflict). The link below mentions something about going from a Mac to a Windows system as well.
