You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My first car was a Ride..not just a car.
I saved up $1500.00 and my father had told me he would match whatever amount of cash I saved when I went to get a car.. so he filled his promise and chipped in another $1500.00 and on June 26th 1988 I bought a sweet 1983 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Duel front bucket seats, a Pioneer cassette deck, and alloy wheels all around for $3000.00 this car was awesome and at the age of 17 I felt on top of the world and like the king of it too.

Mine was a '72 Honda 600. Not a motorcycle. A car. A 2-cylinder air-cooled engine, 2 spark plugs, and smaller than a Smart Car. I named it Beezle for no good reason whatsoever.

I actually wrote a mini-novel about it. I've been told it's quite hilarious.

For your reading enjoyment. When I went to buy snow tires for it (Idaho) I found the mechanics playing catch. With my tires. The wanted to know what donut shop I had purchased them from. They were 10" tires.

I made a car-top carrier for it out of a portable TV stand. It fit just right!

I had to buy the coupe model because my guitar case would not fit into the sedan. This is not a joke.

My first car was a 1991 Eagle Summit... given to me for free by my mothers best friend because I helped her research the purchase of a new car.

My first car was a hand me down from my older sister, She bought it when she turned 16 and I thought it was the world! Then three years later when I turned 16 I got to keep it!

1992 Jeep Cherokee
Limited 4dr SUV 4WD

It was red and I put zebra seat covers inside it. We named it PE PE my little mule. (it's from the movie Romancing the Stone) I also put an Alpine Stero system in it and the added four KICKER speakers and boy did it shake the windows.
We took it mudding/climbing/racing everything you could think of we did!

1975 Mercury Cougar. My uncle bought it new, sold it to my cousin who gave it to me (with a blown engine), and I gave it to my sister. Some freak stole it from her. I wish I had it back for a demo derby car.

My first car was a 1967 Mercury Cougar.

http://www.chooseyouritem.com/classics/photos/101000/101488.1967.Mercury.Cougar.jpg

This was a car originally made in the Ford Mustang style and was like the mustang classed as a "Pony Car". It soon became a cross between the Mustang and the Thunderbird, and entered the "Muscle Car" status amoung drivers.

Mine was similar to the picture but had stock wheels and tires more like this picture but not a solid top.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/1a/1968_Mercury_Cougar_front.jpg/800px-1968_Mercury_Cougar_front.jpg

The engine was a 335 hp 390 in V8 with four barrel intake which mean't it had an air scoop on the hood.

My first car was a 1985 Mercedes Benz 190E. It wasn't incredibly powerful, but it was still a fun car. Most of my friends were buying Hondas and putting really tacky modifications on them at the time, so I was happy to take a classier route. While it didn't have tons of electronics, side airbags or anything like that, it was still pretty good as far as first cars go. My coworkers were pretty surprised when I bought it. Rolling into work with it for the first time was really fun. I also joined a forum called 190Revolution.net and was a pretty active user there for a few years. It was neat to be a part of a community where we all had something in common and could swap stories and advice. It turns out there are still pictures of my 190 floating around the internet, though the car itself is long gone. I've posted a picture of it below.

Mine was a 1988 Oldsmobile Eighty-eight. It was silver, just like the one in the picture. It was missing pretty much anything you'd want out of a car. The door locks didn't work, the key to the trunk was broken, and, the icing on the cake, the reverse stopped working about a month or so after I started driving it. I'd have to take friends with me to park anywhere, because I needed people to push so that I could back out. If I ever had to change directions on a hill, I was in real trouble.

But it did have the best air conditioning of any car I've ever owned, and the seats were more comfortable than my bed.
