Perspire means lack of sweating, which is known as Anhidrosis in medical science. It can be mild or moderate and even life threatening because the body will overheat. If it happens in a small area only, it is usually not as dangerous. Perspire (anhidrosis) sometimes goes unrecognized until a substantial amount of heat or exertion fails to cause sweating.
It may be happened due to any one or more of the following disorders:
• Ectodermal dysplasia or use of certain drugs / chemicals
• Burns or Dehydration or Trauma to sweat glands or Skin diseases that block sweat glands
• Certain genetic syndromes or neuropathies
• Neurologic disorders such as Guillain-Barre syndrome
Advise : Encourage your daughter to take a cool shower or sit in a cool bathtub and drink plenty of fluids. Remain in a cool environment. Move slowly during hot weather. Avoid heavy exercise and hot foods.
Contact a Medical Professional : Call your health care provider for the benefit of your daughter.
