My computer is only showing options for 4:3 screens and this is a 16:9 screen. Is their anything I can do?
I just got a 22" Dell monitor and it has a maximum resolution of 1680x1050 and my computer has options like 1600x1200 but nothing that would work for widescreen. The monitor refreshes weird right now and I have to fix this. Its a Dell SC420 with no added video card. Any suggestions?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Try updating your video card driver.
If that doesn't work, try looking for alternate drivers.
If that doesn't work, you need a new video card.

According to Dell's documentation, this is probably a Dell Poweredge 420 Server with an embedded 8MB video card. Yup, that's right, 8 megabytes. It's highly unlikely this card is capable of displaying widescreen resolutions. It's unlikely the built-in video card will display a resolution higher than 1024 X 768 correctly.
