My computer asked me to install an nvidea update and I did. Now my desktop looks different, my icons all on one side of the screen.

Some of the differences are hard to describe, smaller print, pictures on programs not scaling right. How can I make it go back to the way it was before, even though I'm not quite sure how it was set before?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You need to adjust the graphic and desktop settings in the "Display" options in your Control Panel. Because Nvidia cards have their own menu in the Control Panel, some of the Windows settings may have been overwritten. Try changing these too.

It seems that the icons have been organized to one side because the option "Auto Arrange" setting is checked. Right click your desktop, Arrange Icons By, uncheck Auto Arrange.
