My cat makes funny noises all time. Is it normal?

My cat makes grunts, sqeaks, and just little noises alot. She meow's and purrs likes normal. But she started making these little noises. I knows it's hard to explain a noise. But hopefully if you have a cat you will know what I am talking about. I have never heard another cat makes these noises before. Is it normal?

Take it to the vet. It can be allergies! http://www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/allergies.html
On the other hand, it can have hairballs. My cats make the most awful noises when they are about to vomit a hairball.
And maybe you have changed something around the house. Cats are really sensitive to change.
It also may have gotten fat. The way you breathe changes when you gain weight.

I really do not think she has allergies. The noises are not constant and I have listened to her breath and everything sound snormal. Sometimes the noises sound slike she is trying to purr and meow and the same time. The other noises are like little grunts.
Any new ideas anyone?

very good answer dumblonde :)
Additionally, from "purr-sonal" experience, my cat did the same thing and when the vet checked him out, found that his uvula (in his mouth) was mis-shapen.
Does not affect him in any other way, and I couldn't see spending $800 for the vet to fix it. Kitty and I are both "purr-fectly" fine :)

I've had 3 Burmese cats and all of them did it. They make little grunting noises that sound like "eh". When they miss a ball, eh. When they can't reach a feather, eh. When you're not scratching them in just the right place, eh, then uh when you hit the spot. When you make them move because you want to get up, eh.
