My brother is another user on mahalo. is it okay if i join as well? is it bad to vote for him if i strongly believe he had the right answer?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

We highly recommend not voting for your family and friends in the system. If we see odd voting patterns accounts might be suspended and Mahalo Dollars forfeited.

It's better to avoid this and vote for the dozens and dozens of other questions out there.

If you accidentally vote for your family/friends don't worry about it, it probably won't send off an alarm.

I think it's perfectly acceptable for you to both be Mahalo members. Hopefully, you will both have useful information to share.

You should vote for whichever answer you think is the best. If that happens to be your brother's answer, then I'm sure that's fine.

When you go to vote, the usernames are not shown until after you have voted. If it makes you uncomfortable wondering if you're voting for your brother because he's your brother, then don't ask him about his answers. After you vote, you'll see who wrote what.

Marked as unhelpful just because we don't want to encourage users to vote for family members. If they are voting for Best Answer they should avoid voting in questions that involve family members.

*sigh* No it is not bad to vote for him. I have asked Jeff about this because my boyfriend gets on here as well. Just as long as you are not voting for him all the time.
