You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My son and I have had almost the same thing. I think first talk to the boyfriend. I talk to my son about the difference between a Father and a Daddy and make sure you talk about who mommies boyfriend really is. It is very normal and tipical with toddlers. More so if they are around other kids with either mom dad or both. I am just a parent of a 7 year old. Who has never send his father and had it come up why uncle Brian is now daddy. Just talk to him and said your Father was the Man that helped mommy have you, But your Daddy is the Man that is here now in our lives.

If you really do have her for half the week and take care of her then yes she should be calling you daddy and no one else. A family should consist of a mother and a father figure. A " boyfriend" can leave at anytime and leave the child to think her daddy left her. That's ridiculous. Stick up for your rights.

In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? He is the daddy figure in her mother's house. Kids today need as many people to love them as possible. It really does take a village....
