Where and when was Lizzie Wilson, the 1890's vaudeville singer, born?
Don't tell me about any other Lizzie Wilsons, and please include a reference that I can check. I know she performed at Tony Pastor's in New York City, toured, and had a revival in the 1930's. But I don't know where and when she was born.

Yes I am sure. If it was easy to find on the web I would have found it myself. I am hoping someone has access to libraries or paid online newspaper archives.

- New Source
From the NY Times March 5, 1922: "Names that winked at New Yorkers from the electric signs of old Tony Pastor's as long as thirty years ago will be introduced to present-day audiences when a vaudeville act is launched at the Broadway tomorrow featuring Barney Fagan, the original Corinne, Tony Williams, Joe Sullivan, and Lizzie Wilson. "Stars of Yesterday" will be the name of it."

The link shows a Lizzie Wilson Goodenough, who worked as a domestic help! I don't think that qualifies as a vaudeville act!

If you are referring to Lizzie Evans, who was a Vaudeville singer in the 1890's and an actress, who played the role of Lucy Wilson?

No, Lizzie Wilson. She may have been born under another name for all I know, but Lizzie Wilson was how she was known in vaudeville.

surely you are referring to lizzie evans, she is the only one whose name is close who did a show at tony pastor's in the late 1800's, there are a few books about tony pastor available for purchase online. Here is a photo of her to see if this is who you are referring to

No, this is someone else. here is a link http://www.archive.org/stream/vaudevillefromth013372mbp/vaudevillefromth013372mbp_djvu.txt in which Lizzie Wilson is listed as an old star coming back in "Memory Lane" I have found a couple of online newclips, including a NY Times, but nothing with a biography. Her specialty was a German or "Dutch" comedy act.
