The funeral for Michael Jackson will be held on Tuesday 10:00 am PST, July 7th, 2009, at the Staples Center in L.A

Since they did mention that they are going to do an autopsy on the body, it could be a day or two before an actual date and time is set.

It will be an islamic funeral since Miachael convereted to islam a few years ago in Bahrain (Gulf)..islamic funerals usually take place immediately after death and in this case will be immediatley after the otopsy..

If the family have any good sense left, they will organize a very private ceremony. Jackson was plagued by media attention and that was probably the indirect cause of his death. So no public funeral will be held, in my opinion.

But as he was so revered, you would probably be able to visit his grave later on. That's what I think will happen. And the funeral should be in the next few days, unless the coroner's office suspects any wrongdoing, in that case they will need a full autopsy to confirm their suspicions.

There's no word as of today 6/27- the family had a meeting and a public memorial and a private funeral service are both possibilities according to the family. I would suspect within the next week.

Michael jackson `s death was biggest surprise.. every body was shocked and in moment to know how he died......... after when it came in to notice he died because of cardiac attack..........

Now more things was he a muslim, christian, or so.. to perform his funeral......

Till yet not been decided and revealed ........

Sources reveals according to his will he was willing to be cremated and then his ashes to be sprinkled on surface of moon ...
But he has died in a bankruptcy state ....... this can't be done .........

His family members and state runners are still planning about the aforesaid ............... and many are waiting for this to come forth .......... some says it will be a very dramatic scenic muct a watch ......... i don't know what to say ......... lets see what come forth

They have yet to annouce it. The first autopsy was completed and the family is still debating a 2nd. They are also waiting on the toxologiy test to be complete along with finding out weather or not the will in 2002 is legit or not. Thus for the mother of Michael she has temporary custody of the 3 children

Michael Jacksons father, joe jackson has in his interview said that his family is not yet ready to announce the funeral date, it is also assumed that michael might have two funerals. http://michaeljacksonfuneral.biz/.
Edit: their family has now said to have the funeral on 10th of july.
