Matchbox Twenty aren't really doing a whole lot - not as a band, anyway. The last thing that the band did was "Exile on Mainstream" (2007). They were, however, on tour up until February of this year.
Right now, the band's MySpace Music page is emphasizing lead man Rob Thomas' latest work, "Cradlesong." There's also Paul Doucette’s solo project, The Break and Repair Method, to check out.
I can't confirm rumors that there's going to be a new Matchbox Twenty album, though, sorry!

MatchBox 20 is still around. They were the third most played artist in 2008.
