Drop everything and get Frank's Jolly Christmas.... then you're done!

http://www.amazon.com/Jolly-Christmas-Frank-Sinatra/dp/B000VTS8I6/

If you want to find some of these online to *sample* Seeqpod.com and Playlist.com will have some URLs.

"Toby Keith's Classic Christmas" is my all time favorite. It has so many classics and he's got a fantastic voice. I couldn't wait to dig it out this year and start singing along.

Here's Toby performing "Go Tell It on the Mountain" with Jewel.

Sufjan Stevens--Songs for Christmas. This compilation is actually a set of 5 different "EPs" that Sufjan and friends made to give to their family and friends at Christmas time. You will want to buy a physical copy (don't download), because the CD's come with stickers, a comic, and lyrics (with guitar chords and all)! I am wearing mine out this year! The album includes some "old favorites," as well as some originals.

There are so many favorites but I have always liked Carpenter's Christmas Portrait. It covers most of the classic favorites, both secular and religious. Karen Carpenter's smooth alto is a joy to listen to.

I've always been a bit annoyed by all the Bright Eyes hype but I really enjoy the 2002, Christmas album. It's got some cool indie cameos and was co-arranged with Maria Taylor. It's got all the classics, check it out:

'A Charlie Brown Christmas' by Vince Guaraldi Trio is a go-to album that never grows old. It's *good* jazz music, that happens to have a feel-good Christmas vibe, and without been too Christmas-y.

It's only $4.99 for the expanded MP3 album on Amazon: http://tinyurl.com/5z6f2h

It's a toss up for me between Dr. Demento's Greatest Christmas Novelty CD which has nearly every great funny Christmas song.

Or one of James Brown's various Christmas Compilations. Santa's Got A Brand New Bag" by Rhino is out of print, but this 20th Century Masters version will do nicely and is 5 star reviewed on Amazon.
