What is the song from the 1980's, featuring the chorus "Run away, take away, run away, take away"......

and sounds like Annie Lennox/Eurythmics? It is upbeat but not too upbeat and I keep hearing it and I thought it was actually The Corrs, but it doesn't seem to be. Please let me know cause this is driving me mad!!

I cant seem to face up to the facts
Im tense and nervous and i
Cant relax
I cant sleep cause my beds on fire
Dont touch me Im a real live wire

Psycho killer
Quest que cest
Fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away
Psycho killer
Quest que cest
Fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away

You start a conversation you cant even finish it.
Youre talkin a lot, but youre not sayin anything.
When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed.
Say something once, why say it again?

Psycho killer,
Quest que cest
Fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away
Psycho killer
Quest que cest
Fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away

(* spoken interlude in french *)

Psycho killer,
Quest que cest
Fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away
Psycho killer,
Quest que cest
Fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa far better
Run run run run run run run away

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh....

Actually, no, this is a great tune, but sung by David Byrne. The one I just heard sounds like an Annie Lennox-like female. But great job - and once again great tune!

How about Altered Images 'I could be Happy'?

Not really an Annie Lennox sound, but the first thing that came to mind.

The lyrics don't match any of the previous answers, so I'll throw this one out there. I haven't heard the song, so I don't know if it sounds all poppy like you describe, but these are the lyrics for Irrational's "Take Me Away" off of their Anomaly album. If I find a link to audio, I'll put it up. This song is definitely not from the 80s though, but perhaps you may have heard it and thought "hey, I recognize that from xxxx..." Music has the tendency of being rehashed and reused and sounding very similar from generation to generation. Sampling and "borrowing" are very common. If I hear the song and it's totally different, I'll let you know.

Lyrics:
-----------------------------------
You gave to me escape,You gave to me meaning,
(runaway)
You gave to me myself, And a reason to move on,
Now I'm going home, Where I can be myself,
I'm going home, where you can give me a dose
I'm going home, where your light is on for me all the time

You TAKE me Away yeah
You take me away to better place
You TAKE me Away yeah
You take me away to better place

You gave to me escape,You gave to me meaning,
(runaway)
You gave to me myself, And a reason to move on,
Now I'm going home, Where I can be myself,
I'm going home, where you can give me a dose
I'm going home, where your light is on for me all the time

You TAKE me Away yeah
You take me away to better place
You TAKE me Away yeah
You take me away to better place

You take me away to better place
Take Away Run Away Take it away
---------------------------------------

Edit 1: Looks like it might be available on iTunes. Loading it up right now to take a look and see if it can be previewed. As I was installing iTunes I noticed your reply to another post about it being a female singer. Definitely not this one then! :)
