What is the best program to organize your music?

I have used MediaMonkey, Windows Media Player and iTunes and I like Media Monkey the best; however, I like the functionality of Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player has a nice feature that will organize your music for you and rename the tracks.

Do you know of any other programs that work like this??

iTunes will keep your music collection organized too. I'm on a work PC right now, and can't provide a screenshot, but its an option along the lines of "keep my media folder organized".

I prefer and stick with just iTunes but really only because of the compatibility with the iPod.

Mozilla just released a player based on the same platform as FireFox and I haven't played with it, but some have been calling it the iTunes killer:

My favorite program used to be Real Player. A long time ago(circa 1999), I thought it was an awful program, but they got better and better and around 2003-2004 I started using it again. I've really enjoyed it since then and I think it has a great system for keeping your files organized.

This won't organize your files for you, but it will automatically tag things. Try the demo and see how it works for you. I'm running out the door now, but I bet WMP or some other programs can then organize in to directory from there.

A good CD ripper that will get your directory, tagging, and naming convention right in addition to being fully customizable is CDex. You'll need to download LAME to go with it, but once you get it set up, it's a point and click affair - which you have control over!

iTunes is by far the best. They allow you to order your music in 8 different ways, create playlists, and has several premade handy features such as:
Party Shuffle
Top 25 most played
Most recently played
Recently added.
Genius - builds a playlist with songs similar to one that you are playing

iTunes works on both PCs and Macs and is the only music program compatible with iPods. You can rename tracks very easily (click twice).
Also it has a simple user interface

The Zune Desktop software is the best I have used (I have used iTunes, Winamp, and MediaMonkey in the past). The zune software handles 80GB of music just fine without slowing down: searches and sorts are really fast considering i have more than 13,000 songs in my collection. You don't need to have a Zune portable music player to use the Zune software. The software is free and not having a zune player will not hinder your experience.
