I'm for Sgt. Peppers. Also big in the "Paul is dead" story.

I really like the cover of the Beatles's Abbey Road. It's simple, yet epic. (Not to mention, the music on this album is incredible.)

I'll go for The Velvet Underground and Nico, released in 1967.

The cover features a painting of a banana, an artwork by Andy Warhol who was a huge fan, and a sponsor of the band at the beginning of their career. The banana on the original '67 edition was a sticker which, when peeled off, revealed a pink banana fruit. Needless to say, a copy of the original with sticker intact is somewhat of a collector's item.

The Velvet Underground were way ahead of their time, not only musically, but also in terms of artistic ideas and concepts they employed. The banana cover is a good example of this - a cleancut piece of work, kooky, humorous, witty, provocative - it still feels very contemporary, not at all like a 40 years old piece of pop culture history.
