Yahoo had a great service for free streaming music, but they seem to have merged with Rhapsody and now offer radio stations.

I use Winamp for all my listening that I want last.fm to scrobble. There are two reasons for this: the legit reason and the real reason. The legit reason is that I want my recommendations to turn out OK; the real reason is that I have all these guilty pleasures I don't want to broadcast to the world.
For those, I use Windows Media Player. I don't have last.fm set up on it.
I have iTunes but only use it for my iPod. It's too slow, in my experience, otherwise.

I use WinAmp. It's fast and easy to use. I also like the graphic equalizer it has.

Rhapsody is one of the programs I have used where you can get a combination of your own music library mixed with new stuff you can either purchase or stream, depending on your subscription. Yahoo had a great service for free streaming music, but they seem to have merged with Rhapsody and now offer radio stations.

When on my windows machine, I've been getting into the online music services. Gives me something new since I can hear my own music while listening to my ipod. I have a profile set up on last.fm and the streaming service has been working pretty well for me.
