I have always thought Richie Valens was the one we would miss the most
With a song like La Bamba so much more was possible and could have been, first blend of Latin American and rock'n'roll and there was plenty more to come for sure.

just curious why do you think music died when he died? I personally have liked him since I was a little kid but dont see music as having died that day as tragic as his loss was, and as much as I was pulling for him to make a comeback, I see music as still going forward.
