I've been searching for this song forever - anybody know the title and artist? It is a dance song that came out in the late 80s/early 90s.
It was rarely played in the radio (when it was played, it played in urban radio stations). The song contains a sample from the song "Stoop Rap" by Double Trouble)
Note: It is not "Babies Making Babies (Stoop Rap)" by Beats International - this song includes a sample from this song, but it is not the song I am looking for.

I used Shazam on my iPhone to identify the song and it came up as
Stoop Rap (Rodney Cee & Kk Rockwell)
Double Trouble
Stoop Rap (Rodney Cee & Kk Rockwell)
Double Trouble
Beats International did another song called "Won't Talk About It" with Norman Cook.... the sampling of Double Troubles work is at minute mark 2:30 (I believe the original Beats International version came out in '86 with the Norman Cook version coming out in '90)

You also had the "Best Answer", but had to give "Best Answer" to Darcy based solely on timing (she was first). Thank you very much.
Another shot: Gang Starr - DJ Premier in Deep Concentration. Not quite dance, but fits the on-radio-but-not-really profile.

I think that I misread your question, sorry about that, going to keep looking though!
This one was made in '94, however I'm doubting it is it because I don't consider it "dance." My only hope is that this song contains a sample from Stoop Rap.
