I bet that TLC wouldn't dare fire him. They have gotten so much publicity recently that their ratings have gone through the roof. The only way I think they would fire him is if they thought that would increase ratings or money in their pockets.
I found this on the connection between the rumors of marital distress and the ratings boost for this season. He is their new cash cow so I predict he isn't getting let go.
"Broadcasting & Cable's Alex Weprin reports that the show drew its best ratings ever, averaging 9.8 million total viewers and 4.3 million viewers in the Women 18-49 demographic, and beating everything else on television Monday night. Further, the premiere delivered the highest ratings in TLC history in three demos (Women 18-34, Men 18-34, and Persons 18-34).
The tabloid attention to Jon and Kate Gosselin's troubled marriage drove a record audience Monday night to the season five premiere of TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
Kate's sister-in-law Julie had urged viewers not to watch the show Monday night, suggesting that TLC would be stringing along the Gosselins' marriage drama in an effort to boost ratings:
They will only show what they think people want to see and it isn't real anyway. They will probably drag this out (J&K's 'relationship') for the entire season. They just string the viewers along hoping that."

Right now, its in TLC's best interest to keep him. Think of all the added attention these types of questions have been getting on the internet and at watercoolers around the country. Not to mention all the other recent controveries surronding Jon and Kate. All of this helps drive up ratings, which sell advertisements.
At some point, all of this will die down, and then my guess is he will be released or the show will end entirely.

Is Jon Gosslin going to get fired from Jon and Kate Plus Eight?
Apparently there is a morals clause in the contract for the show. Recently, a photo was taken that showed Jon posing with possible cast members for Divorced Dads Club.
Is he trying to get fired from Jon and Kate Plus Eight?
Is TLC sick of him? Would "Kate Plus Eight" be a better show?
Do you care? Are his 15 minutes over?

I don't really watch the show, but from the quick research I did, SOME sources say that he could be fired for breaching the moral clause as you stated. I'm not sure as to whether he's trying to get fired or not- and I don't care because I believe that his AND her 15 minutes of fame are well over. And if TLC made a "Kate Plus Eight", I'm not sure as to who would watch that!

I think whether he is let out of his contract or not depends on how many problems he makes for TLC and the shows producers. If he starts to really give the show, or TLC a bad name due to his actions, TLC will get rid of him. Right now, its in TLC's best interest to keep him. Think of all the added attention these types of questions have been getting on the internet and at watercoolers around the country. I don't watch the show. I think that they both could get fired under the moral clause. Is he trying to get fired is only a question he could answer but he probably has another show waiting in the wings. I thought these so called reality shows would be over by now. I don't know if TLC is sick of him but I sure am some things should just be handled in private. http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/divorced-dad-club-producers-deny-being-in-talks-with-jon-gosselin-9393.php

I watch the show and I actually love it. I think they are BOTH great parents but they just don't get along with each other. He probably will get fired and is trying to get fired just to spite Kate and if there is a Kate Plus Eight show I think many people would watch it just to see the drama unfold and to see how she takes care of eight kids by herself with no job! I think that's why the show started is because they knew the family needed help and because reality shows are pretty popular. Personally, I think he is a jerk to her and she is a jerk to him but at least she is TRYING to keep the family together. Especially with eight kids I think he should quit being so selfish and stay with her until the kids reach an age where they will not be hurt because their parents are apart. So many young people I know have told me about how their life changed for the worst when their parents split up and how badly it affected them in the long run they hated having to choose between which parent to live with, or get advice from etc. Kate NEEDS this show for the kids. If it was not for the show I don't think she would have much income except for our money (tax payers dollars). I also would like the show to continue to see how the kids turn out. The kids are so beautiful and smart and eventually they will start to make their own opinions, which would be very interesting to know but I also think it should be kept private.

I disagree with the statement about people still tuning in to watch the show if Jon is not on it. If it wasnt for Jon, I would have quit watchiing along time ago, and I definately will not watch it if they take him off.
