Might take a listen to Jethro Tull. He has flute solos in some of his songs.
Possibly Aqualung
Edit: I take it back. I think it is Locomotive Breath. You will have to get past the first couple minutes of intro. I thought I heard the watch tae bo sounding lyric. It is the second video. Both songs are memorable from that era.

I'm looking for the name of a song. All I know is that it has a woodwind solo and it's probably classic rock.
Oh, and my roommate misheard some lyrics. He said they sounded like "watch tae bo".
Almost in the middle of the song there's a woodwind (maybe pan pipes) solo.

I concur. This has got to be Jethro Tull. Locomotive Breath is a good guess, however, Bungle In the Jungle, Cross-Eyed Mary and Thick As A Brick are all possibilities also.
