I would not try to tune a piano. Coming from a musician that plays piano, you will not be able to do a very good job unless you have all the correct tools and are experiences at tuning notes to the exact correct pitch. Unless you have some experience tuning a piano, I would recommend getting a professional to do it. It should cost about $75-125 and you should do that a minimum of once a year. Twice a year may be better, but once a year will be fine. I have a degree in music and a good ear, but I still wouldn't trust myself to tune a piano correctly unless I had previous experience.
