The acoustic guitar that Page uses to start out "Stairway to Heaven" is a Martin D28. Once the electric guitars kick in (and during the solo), page is using a basic Fender Telecaster played through Marshall amps. Apparently page played in the studio with a model SLP-1959 which was modified with KT-88 tubes to boost its output.

Overall, Page's setup was pretty basic. Although he did use a few different effects pedals (and a violin bow every once and awhile), his "Stairway" setup was actually quite basic.
