Yes, I've heard the song played at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. It's an annual event held in the old downtown area of Bethlehem. There's a large beer tent which has almost continuous performances by polka bands during Musikfest week (during the summer).
Schnitzelbank is a song which a lot of the bands seem to know.

a schnitzelbonk is a meatcutting table but that has nothing to do with the song, it's just a cute song.

Have you seen and heard the Schnitzelbank song performed? Where and when? At a bar or festival?
It is usually performed at Oktoberfests in the US and Canada, and other German heritage events. Also, it used to be done at bars and taverns. I am trying to find out how widespread the song remains. I am not referring to the related Swiss custom and its songs, nor the Warner Bros cartoon version.

• That's what I was asking, although the description of the performances is pretty vague. I'm not surprised to see it still in Pennsylvania Dutch country, that's where the main version probably originated. Although it was a German folk song, the version we sing today is American.

ohhh what a good song. I have a record on my 1922 Edison phonograph of the schnitzelbonk song. A great song to sing in unison or to dance drunkenly around to. a schnitzelbonk is a meatcutting table but that has nothing to do with the song, it's just a cute song.

No, a schnitzelbank is a shaving horse and has everything to do with the song. It is clearly illustrated in all versions. I am glad you like the song,;but, my question is trying to track down relatively current live performances.

Well, if you hate Steven Spielberg's Animaniacs, there's always Rammstein:

My question specified that I was not interested in the Warner Bros cartoon version. I consider it awful; but, also, I am trying to learn where live versions are still performed. --
