Doris Day first sang what was to become her signature song in "the Man Who Knew Too Much", directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1956. The film co-starred Jimmy Steward and won the 1956 Academy Award for Best Song.

It is a popular song which was written by the Jay Livingston and Ray Evans songwriting team. The song was featured in Alfred Hitchcock's 1956 film, The Man Who Knew Too Much,2 with Doris Day and James Stewart in the lead roles.
