Given the context of the song, I would replace the "Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah"s with "They started playin' our favorite song." I especially like how that sounds with these opening lines:
We had broken up for good
Just an hour before
They started playin' our favorite song
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing 'cross the floor
They started playin' our favorite song
And then the band slowed the tempo
And the music gets you down
They started playin' our favorite song
It was the same old song
With a melancholy sound
They started playin' our favorite song
I think it fits in nicely, and keeps the break-up song theme going.

Here goes:
We had broken up for good
Just an hour before
Trying to deal just as best I could
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing 'cross the floor
And we're dancing in my head
And then the band slowed the tempo
And the music gets you down
To the rhythm of a Summer night
It was the same old song
With a melancholy sound
And all the lyrics that you've heard before
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
We'd been living together for a million years
Every second rushes through my head
But now it feels so strange out of the atmospheres
As my body's floating off of the world
And then the jukebox plays a song I used to know
And it's the same old song again
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing so slow
'Cause they've got a million years to go
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They don't write 'em like that anymore
Interlude
Mmmm, now I wind up staring at an empty glass
With a rhythm playing in my head
'Cos it's so easy to say
That she'll forget your past
And then you'll find that she's floating away
They don't write 'em like that anymore
No, they just don't write 'em like that anymore
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't, no, they don't, no no, uh-uh
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't

I think that one lyric replacing every Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah would start to sound very repetitive, but if there could only be one line, I would say:
Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah= But she's still running through my mind

Just an hour before
Such a dirty little chore
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing 'cross the floor
Now I'm runnin towards the door
And then the band slowed the tempo
And the music gets you down
Those notes weighed a thousand pounds
It was the same old song
With a melancholy sound
Now I'm sinkin' to the ground
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
We'd been living together for a million years
We realized all our fears
But now it feels so strange out of the atmospheres
Like I'm floating away
And then the jukebox plays a song I used to know
And everything around me glows
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing so slow
And I'm runnin towards the door
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They don't write 'em like that anymore
Interlude
Mmmm, now I wind up staring at an empty glass
I always thought it would pass
'Cos it's so easy to say
That she'll forget your past
But it never lasts
They don't write 'em like that anymore
No, they just don't write 'em like that anymore
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't, no, they don't, no no, uh-uh
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't
I'm not much of a writer, but that's the best I got.
Edit: that post showed up after I did it. I kinda like mine, so I'll leave it, but to replace it all with one phrase I'd use:
"And I'm runnin' towards the door"

Complete the Song: Lyrics That Could Have Been contest - The Breakup Song by Greg Kihn Band
Song writers sometimes put in silly lyrics or mumbling (filler) in their songs when they can't think of what to write and think they'll put something in later, but once people hear the song with the "filler" lyrics, they sometimes stay (because bandmates like them).
The Breakup Song by Greg Kihn Band is one of those songs.
If you so choose, come up with lyrics that could have been used whereever the phrase "Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah" is heard. The best lyrics will get the tip (as determined by my own opinion!).
EDIT: You only have to change one line (that appears multiple times in the song) that is "Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah". You don't change any other lyrics. So "Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah" = ???? is all that is required in your answer.

We had broken up for good
Just an hour before
They started playin' our favorite song
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing 'cross the floor
They started playin' our favorite song
And then the band slowed the tempo
And the music gets you down
They started playin' our favorite song
It was the same old song
With a melancholy sound
They started playin' our favorite song
I think it fits in nicely, and keeps the break-up song theme going.

• I think these lyrics fit the theme of the song the best. The theme of this song, in my opinion goes with the lyrics "They don't write like that any more...", so it had to be some lyrics that were along those lines. @demanda was closest.

Just to clarify, you want different lyrics for each filler, right? Here goes:
We had broken up for good
Just an hour before
Trying to deal just as best I could
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing 'cross the floor
And we're dancing in my head
And then the band slowed the tempo
And the music gets you down
To the rhythm of a Summer night
It was the same old song
With a melancholy sound
And all the lyrics that you've heard before
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
We'd been living together for a million years
Every second rushes through my head
But now it feels so strange out of the atmospheres
As my body's floating off of the world
And then the jukebox plays a song I used to know
And it's the same old song again
And now I'm staring at the bodies
As they're dancing so slow
'Cause they've got a million years to go
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They don't write 'em like that anymore
Interlude
Mmmm, now I wind up staring at an empty glass
With a rhythm playing in my head
'Cos it's so easy to say
That she'll forget your past
And then you'll find that she's floating away
They don't write 'em like that anymore
No, they just don't write 'em like that anymore
They don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't, no, they don't, no no, uh-uh
They just don't write 'em like that anymore
They just don't

I think that one lyric replacing every Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah would start to sound very repetitive, but if there could only be one line, I would say:
Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah= But she's still running through my mind

"Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, aaah" = "blah blah blah" (but, don't use blah blah blah)
That lyric appears multiple places, but will only be replaced with one line.
