People who liked the first two movies will no doubt enjoy the final movie in the trilogy. I think it has the potential to overshadow the first two, since it is a prequel, and may answer lots of questions raised previously. Also, all of the "Underworld" movies rely strongly on visual effects, and visual effects tend to get better in sequels (and prequels). The "Underworld" movies are not Oscar winners, but they are _very_ entertaining, and I think the last one may be the best one.

Underworld will always be seen as a cheap rip-off of The Matrix. Now it's going after Lord of the Rings...

A lot of the action was definitely reminiscent of Matrix-style filming and fighting. There are also hints from the Blade trilogy as well. They did hint at the historical aspects this third film is based on in the first movie, so it should be interesting, to say the least, for fans of the series.

I think this one may surprise us and be quite good.
I've watched all films so far and i think the producers may use this opportunity to fill the missing plot holes. If they succeed it may generate new fans willing to view the full trilogy.

There is no way it could be as good based on the fact that it is being made by a first time director (Patrick Tatopoulos). It's hard enough making good sequels when you have the original director, but a first time director taking on a third installment of a successful franchise usually means the quality is on par with a straight-to-video release.

It's debatable, but the Harry Potter films have been directed by different directors and while there are definitely points where the consistency is off, overall they are generally cohesive. Not sure I agree, but thanks for the input.

No.

Sequels are never better than the original, especially when the original wasn't that good to begin with.

Seeing how the new craze has been Vampires for the last few years this movie has a good future for the box office. I'm sure many people are eager to see our friends in tight leather that actually look like vampires instead of sparkly fairies *cough*twilight*cough* haha. This movie will definitely have more action than its predecessors and have a much more stable romance story as we all know. I for one cannot wait to see it. Looks like it will be a good combination of romance and action and hopefully the writers made a strong script for it as well.

yes it will be better because it is a spin off with new characters that make the story revived..unlike the previous underworld which was good but gloomy..it didnt have the energy of the first one.. So hopefully this movie can continue the story and bring in more action!

I am a big fan of the first two Underworld movies, for more then just the fact that Kate Beckensale is ridiculously hot. I'm disappointed that the third movie is a prequel though, I was really excited at the end of the second one to see what happens to the Lycan/Vampire cross-breed. I feel like enough of the plot from the era of 'Rise of the Lycans' was covered as flashbacks in Evolution. I'm still going to see it in theaters, but I'll be waiting for a fourth one. Cheers!
