I would consider dominating to imply not just money made but also influence. From the list, George Clooney not only is a top-notch, lauded actor, director, etc. but is also very influential in his philanthropic and humanitarian causes. Brad Pit comes close, aided by partner Angelina Jolie, making them the dominating couple of Hollywood.

Will Smith is probably the strongest/dominating actor today. He is charismatic and friendly and he know how to handle himself in a crowd :)

He's definitely a solid actor, I liked him in I Am Legend and I, Robot. Sucks though that he seems to be involved with Scientology, though not as fanatically from what I understand as Tom Cruise or John Travolta.

I didn't mean to suggest that he was a member, but giving lots of cash to a cause with questionable motives, ethics and practices makes you wonder about the character and sensibility of the giver.

Will Smith, only because he can open a film at a higher level than the others. But my money is on Matt Damon since he has consistently been in quality movies for years. Understated but dominant.
