I normally doesn't watch any Horror films. But recently I saw a classic Horror film named "Psycho" which was released in 1960 nearly 3 months ago. I kind of loved that film and I would say it is the Best film made in the Horror section. The thrill and horror is intensified by the Black and White display as well as the great sound effects especially for a film made in the 60's.

The film depicts the encounter between a secretary, Marion Crane (Janet Leigh), who is in hiding at a motel after embezzling from her employer, and the motel's owner, Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), and the aftermath of their encounter.

Psycho initially received mixed reviews, but outstanding box office returns prompted a re-review which was overwhelmingly positive and led to four Academy Award nominations. Psycho is now considered one of Hitchcock's best films and is highly praised as a work of cinematic art by international critics.

Another Horror/Thriller sequence I love is the Saw Series. All the films are excellent in my point of view, with surprising ends.

My favorite is Nightmare Before Christmas simply because it's a movie that you can watch with all ages.

Tim Burton really made a classic with this one!

I also just recently watched Coraline (another soon to be Burton classic!)
and it actually creeped me out!
There are many classic archetypes and folklore morals that pop up along the story line and make for a great discussion afterwards.

If you want some movies that offer all the creepiness without the hack and slash, I'd say pick up both of these for a great double feature.

I dont really have one favorite for Halloween, but some of mine are The Nightmare Before Christmas, House of 1000 Corpses, Friday the 13th part 7, or The Shining.
