Answered Question
What does "SE" stand for when it comes to DVD movies?
I was looking for a newsfeed to use in order to keep track of DVD releases, and as I was looking through JoBlo, I noticed two distinct entries under January 20th ( http://www.joblo.com/dvdclinic/release_dates.php?month=January&year=2009 ):
- Max Payne
- Max Payne (SE)
I clicked on the Amazon links for both movies and I can't figure out what the SE is supposed to mean. One of the movies has Amazon saying it's PG-13 while the other is unrated, but the displayed box art for both says "Unrated" on it.
Please only answer if you are at least fairly certain. No guesses, please--I've done enough of that on my own.

These versions are often the unrated cuts with extra scenes and features not found on the standard version.
Here is an example of a DVD listed as "SE" with the correct box art showing at the top the "Special Edition" http://www.overstock.com/Books-Movies-Music-Games/Halloween-Theatrical-Version-SE-DVD/2899097/product.html?cid=123620&fp=F&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=11070533
