Mickey Rourke is a fantastic Actor. Period -- seeing Rourke's recent "The Wrestler" firsthand I can tell you that he can really blow you away with his skills. His rough & tough demeanor will be perfect for the hard nosed Dynamo, and his ability to humanize the most outrageous of characters will really help ground the film in reality -- and as we all know, a hero, is only as good as the villain. So the more powerful a performance from the bad guy, the better Robert Downey Jwr. will be, which makes a better movie!
The only better choice I can think of would be Daniel Day-Lewis.... but I guess we will have to wait for Iron Man 3 for that one ;)
If you still need convincing, watch his one scene in "The Pledge"--- steals the whole movie.
