"According to Variety’s story, it looks as though Martin Campbell (”Casino Royale”) is currently in negotiations with Warner Bros. to helm “Green Lantern” (which is currently being written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green), stating that the emergence of Campbell all but puts “Green Lantern” at the top of Warners’ current slate of in-development films to hit the big screen next.
While fandom — and more importantly, Warners’ — wait to hear from Christopher Nolan on a follow-up to 2008’s box office titan, “The Dark Knight,” the studio has been going full steam ahead with both “Green Lantern,” and “Jonah Hex” (which reportedly has Josh Brolin attached to play the lead and “Horton Hears A Who” director Jimmy Heyward on to helm). "
