The Triangle is great....
While chasing a whaler, the Greenpeace boat sinks with the vessel, pulled by a mysterious force underwater and only Meeno Paloma survives. Meanwhile, after the disappearance of six ships in the Bermuda Triangle in one year, the millionaire owner of the Mineral Shipping Lines Eric Benerall hires the skeptical journalist of The Observer Howard Thomas; the scientist Bruce Geller; the offshore engineer Emily Patterson and the psychic Stan Lathem to investigate the reasons for the phenomenon in the area. If the team succeeds in their quest for the truth, each one would receive five million dollars. They find a high-tech underwater facility from the Navy, and each one of them has glimpses of alternative reality after their discovery. They conclude that the experiment conducted by the Navy is affecting the electromagnetic balance of the ocean, while trying to find a way to close the dimensional tear opened by the Philadelphia Experiment. But they believe that the procedure actually will open the Pandora Box and destroy the world

As for Sci-Fi/Action.. Try The Firefly TV series and Serenity the movie to finish it off. They have been declared by various reviewers to be definitive Sci-Fi shows. In fact, there was an interview with Orson Scott Card in regards to his book "Enders Game" where he was quoted as saying:
---quote---
So here's what I have to say about Serenity:
This is the kind of movie that I have always intended Ender's Game to be (though the plots are not at all similar).
And this is as good a movie as I always hoped Ender's Game would be.
And I'll tell you this right now: If Ender's Game can't be this kind of movie, and this good a movie, then I want it never to be made.
I'd rather just watch Serenity again.

Also check out Dark City.

Though the action never continued beyond this first movie, this is one of my favorite action movies of all time. It has a wonderful balance between real martial arts, mysticism, and humor. Definitely get a copy of this and watch it.

Any good action/ sci-fi movie recommendations?
It doesn't need to be a new release. I'm just interested in any action, drama, thriller, sci-fi movies that you like and want to pass along. I've seen the big ones, like aliens, the godfather triology, all the back to the futures, etc. Looking for something I probably haven't seen or haven't seen in a long time.

One of my all time favorite movies dealing with theology, destiny, angels and demons is "Fallen"! It has a great cast (to include John Goodman and the great Denzel Washington) and an interesting story that always has you guessing. "Fallen" is like a blend of a police drama and supernatural thriller. It's about a homicide detective who puts a serial killer on death row. Once executed, a copycat killer emerges and Denzel is caught in the middle of a riddle left behind by the killer. Now it's up to him to find the killer but uncovers an even bigger mistery! I HIGHLY recomend it!
