What are some alternatives similar to the Armadillo City Rider Jacket with armor?

I really like the City Rider jacket found at http://armadilloscooterwear.com/usa

This UK company has started shipping to america, but I can't find any local dealers and I was hoping to find something similar for a bit lower price. Even if you have an alternative that is more or less money please let me know.

Please make sure that your suggestion meets the following criteria in order to qualify for the tip:

Jacket is available in america or you provide a company that will ship to america

Jacket comes in black or other dark color without huge logos and graphics all over it. Small logos are of course exceptable.

Jacket is made for riding a scooter or motorcycle.

Jacket is suitable for winter riding - i just don't want some light little jacket or hoody, does not need to be for sub zero or anything, just winter riding on nice but cold days.

Jacket is priced reasonably. Lets try to keep it under $500 if possible.

I have really looked around and can't seem to find anything similar, let's see what Mahalo can provide.

Armadillo City Rider Jacket with armor is the best option. Don't look for alternatives.

Allot of companies are now offering heated gear for riders right now, not sure if you have looked into that option as well.

There is a company called outlast that has a material out that is found in allot of new clothes, rider gear, jackets, vests, gloves you name it.

It will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Look for new rider gear companies that is incorporating this technology into there products.

There is also a company called activeheat that has a heating and cooling system that runs off a batter or your 12volt dc adapter sewn into the lining of there clothes.

Best of luck to you in your search.

I saw these. Very nice. I don't think I will need a heater though. I am more concerned with the style of the jacket and the armor is a nice touch.

Rev'it Off Track Jacket
Olympia Airglide 2
First Gear TPG Rainer
Tour Master Transition Series or Flex Series

When searching, try using the word 'textile' to avoid most of the leather jackets that are out there.

These are great suggestions in general, but none of them are in the style of the Armadillo. I like that its a little longer and not tight at the bottom.
