Most irritating video game character?

Some characters (whether they're the main character, a sub-character, etc.) just have a propensity to irritate. List your most favorite irritating characters.

Peppita from Star Ocean 3 kind of made me put the game down.
Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This guy in Mario 64!!!!

I can remember playing Mario 64 for hours and I hated this guy every time he popped up. He would always have some irritating "tip" about the controls or camera angles or something. DESPISED HIM.

P.s. Anybody remember his name?

I think his name is Lakitu. He used to appear as the guy in the original Super Mario Bros. game who would drop Spinies on you, and then he became a cameraman.

Oooh... good one. I hated that. I loved that game, but I couldn't stand Navi constantly saying, "Hey, listen!" It caused me to often play the game with the sound off.

The most annoying video game character of all-time is definitely the dog from Duck Hunt. He just laughs at you every time you miss a shot. Why is he there? I don't need him to show me how many ducks I shot, which is all he really does. I don't know of anyone who played Duck Hunt and didn't try to shoot the dog when he poked his head up to laugh at your misfortunes. You actually could shoot him in the original arcade version, but sadly, you couldn't in the NES version.
Here's some footage of someone who hacked the game so that he could let out his years of aggression against that dog:

I'm going with all the 12-year-old homophobic racist kids you find on xBox Live playing Halo.

Slippy Toad. Anyone who has played Star Fox 64 for at least 5 minutes know that that just retarded!

Forget Star Fox 64, he was just as annoying on SNES. I remember always trying to shoot him and hating that I couldn't. I always prayed that Falco would finish the job. I really do think he is just the worst character ever. I think he brings shame and disgrace to generations of Japanese people.

Mr. Resetti from Animal Crossing. Obnoxious little mole with a 20 minute rant about quitting without saving.

The power went out. Did I really deserve that?

GHOST from Sewer Shark on the SEGA CD. Yeah, this is becoming increasingly obscure and I am getting old. "There's some creepy critters bearing .... SIX.... THREE... SIX... NINER!!!"

Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2.

Although, he totally gets redeemed in MGS 4. He goes from a whiny little punk to major badass.

Also, anytime an RPG decides that it MUST have a CHILD as a playable character. Whiny voice actors and squealing... no thank you.

Maybe this guy didn't annoy everyone as much as me and I know this game was insanely popular but nothing annoyed me more than playing through the first Gears of War on Insane and hearing DOM say "THANKS MAN" every time I had to save his ass!! I hate that guy, worst AI ever!!!!

Tingle is THE single most irritating character I have ever met.
Not only is he infuriatingly annoying, he's also unbelievably, disturbingly creepy. He's a short, fat guy. Dressed in tights. Flying with balloons. Pretending, no, *believing* he's a fairy. With Daddy issues. 'Nuff said.

Plus, he's always coming back, and he thinks he's your friend.

Tails from Sonic 2 is the original irritating video game character. Otherwise Ashley from RE4 - takes the cake as the dumbest person in video game history!

Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. He was essentially invincible, rarely did anything that helped you, and did a great job of distracting you.
