Example, you like riding on roller coasters or other exciting and scary at the same time rides. You wanted to feel thrilled. You're actually taking your life at risk while riding those especially the dangerous ones, but you still ride anyway because - it's exciting.
Plus the factor that we could earn so much from it makes people so attached to gambling.

Anything anyone starts doing repeatively over time is an addiction. An addicition grows on your subconscious making you feel that you need to continue to do such action to get through your day. Some people have it as compulsive behaviors which is basically the same thing in different terminology
