You should check these out:

Best Credit Card Offers

If you are a college student, here's some to check out.

College Student Card
http://www.creditcards.com/college-students.php

You should start out with a college student card if you're a student.

Try applying for one of them. It can't hurt to apply.

You might even try a debit card.

I think it may be hard to go wrong with Chase Freedom cards.

You get cash rewards, and if you save up a $200 balance, they will give you $250, so you get some extra money.

In the past, I've also used a Citi Dividend Platinum Select card, which also paid cash dividends at the $50 level, but I prefer the Chase card for the extra cashback.

Of course cash dividends are pretty much meaningless if you routinely have a balance (with the associated finance charges), but if you always pay off your balance at the end of the month, you can get some extra money back on your purchases. It just requires a good budget and some self control

Also, try a site called http://www.findcollegecards.com that has a great list of student related credit cards for those with little, or no credit. It's a great starting point, and they have many name branded cards.
