There's no such thing as good debt and bad debt. Yeah- it's all bad, in my opinion. I fell for the myth that student loan debt is okay, in moderation. So my husband and I did that- then we watched some of our neighbors graduate, and they can't find a better job. So now they've got the degree, and the loans, and the same job. Case in point: If you are paying off your student loans and working the same job to get through school, and the same one afterwords, why didn't you pay cash to get through school?? We stopped using student loans and started relying on our current income. If we get out of school and get a better job, more power to us. If we don't, at least we're not in a worse situation.
