Nobody knows what is in the 2009 Stimulus Package until it is presented by the new President Obama. He is announcing a few parts such as $300B in tax cuts and tax incentives plus 300,000 government jobs, which I believe would likely be similar to the old WPA jobs. However, these are rumors. It is likely that green products & services, construction of infrastructure, renovation of the power grid, and alternative energy are going to be high on his list of investment of what is appearing to be another $700B to $1Trillion.
Whatever the proposal, it will have to pass the House and the Senate, where it will no doubt be attacked by both sides. You are already seeing attacks from the Dems and the Repubs, so passage may not be easy.
