this probly depends on the library.

most of em will have music and videos u can check out for free.

most will have free internet to use also. where i'm living now they let u on for an hour at a time. at home u could stay on as long as u wanted if no one was waiting.

a lotta libraries have free classes on stuff like how to use computers.

most all of em will have this interlibrary access deal where if they don't got the thing u want they will order it from another library and u can check it out when it gets there.

and a lot of em have story times for little kids.

some libraries even go as far as to have stuff like subscriptions to legal materials like westlaw for people to use.

First off your library card is free which entitles you to thousands of books. My library has free magazines, music CD's, DVD's (movies) and unlimited use of the internet. One of my favorite freebies is the newspaper archives. I love going in there and checking past articles!

In addition to books, movies, newspapers, magazines, and audiobooks, I've used the local library for free research. Microfilm and microfiche records are available for interlibrary loan. I've ordered Texas prison records from 1890, which were delivered to my local library, where I used their microfilm readers to access the info and print it. Pretty cool!
