What do you think of Obama's plan to create a task force to oversee the restructuring of the auto industry?

President Barack Obama is reportedly planning to create a task force to oversee the restructuring of the troubled auto industry, instead of appointing a "car czar". Do you think this is the right plan or should he appoint a car czar, as President George W. Bush previously supported to do?

Since the United States government does not own the car companies and is only an investor like many others, it would be inappropriate for the United States government to dictate how the auto industry should be restructured. It is presumptuous for the government to assume it has a better idea on how these companies should be restructured than the other owners of these companies.

If the US government wants to dictated how the auto industry should be restructured it should first nationalize these companies.

Sorry if this was not clear in my original question, but from what is being reported (President Obama has not made the official announcement yet), it appears that the task force will focus on restructuring of General Motors and Chrysler, which both received money from the Automaker Bailout. Restructuring of the companies was a requirement when the companies received bailout money.
